The BD Vacutainer® Holder with Luer Adapter is a sterile, ready-to-use device designed for use with compatible BD Vacutainer® blood collection equipment. Combining a transparent tube holder with an integrated Luer adapter, the device provides a convenient connection for appropriate blood collection and sample transfer procedures.

The Luer adapter enables the holder to be connected to compatible Luer devices as part of established clinical workflows. Depending on the collection procedure and equipment being used, this configuration can be used for blood collection from compatible catheters or other appropriate access devices.

The holder is designed to accommodate compatible BD Vacutainer® evacuated blood collection tubes. Once an appropriate tube is inserted into the holder, the vacuum within the collection tube supports controlled transfer of the blood specimen.
