The BD SmartSite™ Needle-Free Gravity Infusion Set is designed for gravity-based fluid administration in professional healthcare environments. The set incorporates two SmartSite™ needle-free valve Y-ports, providing needle-free access points along the infusion line.

The infusion set features a 3mm bore and a priming volume of approximately 26ml. A vented spike and drip chamber with a 15µm filter provide a nominal delivery rate of 20 drops per ml.

Two SmartSite™ valve Y-ports are incorporated into the set, alongside a back-check valve to help control reverse flow. A roller clamp provides manual flow control, while the rotating male Luer connection allows connection to compatible devices.

The set also incorporates a hydrophobic air inlet filter and PVC tubing. DEHP and natural rubber latex are not included as part of the material formulation.
