BD Microtainer® Glucose Tubes with Na-fluoride and Na2EDTA are designed for the collection and processing of small-volume capillary or venous blood samples. Supplied in a pack of 50, these compact blood collection tubes are suitable for professional healthcare and laboratory environments where smaller specimen volumes are required.

Each tube contains sodium fluoride (Na-fluoride) and disodium EDTA (Na2EDTA) additives. The tube includes a clearly defined fill-level marking, helping users collect the appropriate volume of blood in relation to the amount of additive contained within the tube. This supports the correct blood-to-additive ratio and consistent sample preparation.

The BD Microtainer® format is particularly suited to procedures involving small blood volumes. Samples may be obtained using appropriate capillary or venous blood collection techniques in accordance with established clinical procedures and the manufacturer's instructions.

For convenient handling, each tube features a grey Microgard™ cap with an integrated lever designed to make opening the tube straightforward. The closure system also supports contained handling of the collected specimen during routine processing.

Compatible tube extenders are available separately where required, allowing BD Microtainer® tubes to be used with centrifuges and laboratory equipment designed around standard 13mm x 75mm tube racks.
