Disinfecting Caps 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) Single

Disinfection Caps can be applied after administration when the IV access device is not in use, to protect and disinfect. The outer housing provides a physical barrier against bacteria, whilst the internal housing soaked with 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) disinfects the Needle Free connector. The use of disinfection caps is associated with decreased HA-CLABSI rates among high-risk patients.
